In Ebsco databases, you can set up an account that allows you to save searches, or be alerted when new articles for your topic are available. Use these directions to set up a My Ebsco Account and save your searches or create an alert.
Go to http://library.osu.edu/
On the right hand side, click on Research Database List
In the box on the left type Business Source Complete; chose the second one in the list:
Click to go to the database.
In the database, on the top right, click "Sign In" and set up an account. You may make up any name and pasword you like. The Ebsco graphic will now have a yellow band across it that proclaims My Ebsco.
Go to the top left and click on Publications.
In the box that appears just below the words: Browsing: Business Source Complete - Publications, type the word Economist. Then hit the Browse button.
In the list that appears, Economist will be the first term.
Check the box to the left of the Economist then click the word Add just above it.
(JN "Economist") will appear in the top box. Click on the green Search box.
Click the Clear button to the right of the Search box.
Now, type China in that top box. Search then click Clear again.
Now, click the text that says Search History located below the search box.
Check the boxes beside the line that says China and the line that says (JN "Economist").
Then click Search with AND
Now click the green Search box above.
You can view your results: over 4000 articles with the keyword China in the journal Economist over the past 21 years.
Finally:
Go to Save Searches
Name your search
Save it
Use the back button to navigate back to Save Searches
Choose the radio button at the bottom that is labeled Alert and fill out the boxes to receive an e-mail each time your search finds a new article.
