The very idea of research can seem daunting even to an experienced scholar. Sometimes it takes a while to figure out what you're interested in, or what you might want to learn more about. It's important to spend a good deal of time in this area, because everything you have to do next will depend upon it.
Together, we can start to move in a useful direction!
Of course, this isn't the only hurdle. Knowing where to go and how to find relevant information is something that everyone has to learn from scratch. The best way to do this is by simple trial and error--but librarians can show you how to get comfortable with locating the unknown!
