It includes biographies, chronologies, primary source readings, and critical texts, including the reference titles Baker's Dictionary of Music, Baker's Biographical Dictionary of Musicians, and Baker's Student Encyclopedia of Music.

The Garland Encyclopedia of World Music Online is devoted to music research of all the world's peoples. Each volume contains an overview of the region, a survey of its musical heritage, traditions and themes, and a description of specific musical genres, practices, and performances.

RILM Music Encyclopedias is a collection of 45 seminal encyclopedias in full text, comprising 95,000 pages and including historical and current encyclopedias published between 1775 and 2017. It is international in scope, providing access to content written in the key languages of musicological research, among them English, German, French, Italian, Czech, Dutch, Greek, and Slovak. It is a collection of encyclopedia content spanning the most important disciplines, fields, and subject areas of historical musicology and ethnomusicology, with subject-specific focus on topics ranging from popular music, opera, instruments, blues and gospel, to recorded music and women composers.

The OhioLINK Music Center, a subset of the Naxos Music Library, is an online streaming music database of international works from Classical to Spoken Word. The 78,000+ tracks, 21,000+ works can be searched or browsed by track, title, performer, album, composer and date of composition.
