"I am irritated by my own writing. I am like a violinist whose ear is true, but whose fingers refuse to reproduce precisely the sound he hears within."
--Gustave Flaubert

The good news: EVERYONE struggles with how to put their ideas on a page. If you have a great idea or awesome research but can't find the right words to share it, we've all been there too!

The even better news: We have lots of different options to break writer's block, get you started on that paper, and help you polish your rough drafts! Check out the different services and guides we offer below!

I'm having trouble with...

I need advice on writing, grammar, or English as a second language: Ask about our professional collection, which has tons of great writing books, ESL dictionaries, and advice books for your career. You can also check out Transparent Language Online, a free language learning program for OSU students.

I want advice on professional stuff like resumes, careers, and writing business emails: Check out all the new books in our professional collection!

I'm not motivated to write: Check out our motivation tips here ! Writing gets easier when you build a habit, set goals, and do it regularly.

I've been working on this project so long I can't see what needs fixing: Sign up for a Consultation! Getting a fresh set of eyes to look at things and make suggestions is really helpful when you're stuck.

I need help with citations and references: Check out our Citation Management page, or attend one of our workshops on how to build a reference list using a citation manager!

I have a specific writing question I need answered: You can send us an email, or check out our Quick Guides on how to tackle specific problems or issues with your writing.

I'm graduating soon and would like to work on polishing my resume/CV: Check out our resumes, CVs, and cover letters page!
