Staff (virtually) available: 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday thru Friday & by appointment
During the month of August, we will share details below about our phased return to library facilities for Fall 2020.
Pandemic operating procedures
Masks. In accordance with OSU policy, masks must be worn in the library common areas at all times. Staff working alone in offices with doors closed are not required to wear masks.
Cleaning. All library users are asked to clean their study spaces upon arrival and departure. A sanitation station with cleaning fluid and paper towels will be provided. Library staff will provide additional cleaning of high-touch areas.
Occupancy limits and physical distance. All library spaces have occupancy limits clearly posted. Furniture and computer stations have been arranged for physical distancing according to university guidelines.
Materials quarantine. All library material returns and incoming requests will be quarantined for 5 days before processing.
Fall 2020 library access will be limited to OSU graduate students, faculty, and staff. The building and library doors will be locked and access will be via key fob access ONLY. If you would like a key fob, please email Gwen at short.67 or Laura at Miller.9363
Access to library materials
OSU & OhioLINK material borrowing. Beginning August 10th, you can request physical library materials through the OSU or OhioLINK online catalogs. Once your item arrives on the Wooster Campus, you will receive an email notification. Requested items can be picked up at the front desk beginning August 25th. Expect delays due to COVID-19 protocols.
Book returns. Any OSU or OhioLINK book can be returned to the WCRL Library beginning August 25th. Prior to August 25th, please contact Gwen Short.67 to schedule an appointment. Returned materials will be quarantined for 5 days before they are checked in.
Local book & journal collections. Access to the physical library stacks are closed. However, library users can request and borrow these materials using the OSU or OhioLINK library catalogs.
|Study space and carrels
Fall 2020: Carrels will not be available for reservation. They will still be available for walk in use but not be assigned. This will allow library users the flexibility to physical distance themselves as well as easier cleaning of study spaces. If you need a space to store your study materials, you may request a filing cabinet drawer. Please contact Laura Miller.9363 with questions or requests.
